The Potter’s Yard, established as a pottery studio in 1997, is the home of lifelong potter Patricia Howard and a traditional stone-built dormer farmhouse which was once a ‘Rambling House’ for singers and storytellers. Local poet P.J. McCall’s famous songs of ’98 – Boolavogue, The Boys of Wexford, and Kelly The Boy From Killane were first heard here.
Once again a place of creativity, Patricia’s stylish hand-thrown pots for table & garden sit easily with printed textiles, cushions, wreaths and beeswax candles specially selected from neighbouring practitioners working to the same exacting standards. Have a browse or just sit, relax, and soak up the unique old world atmosphere.
Pop-up workshops in clay and candle making available by arrangement as Covid regulations allow.
